I believe at one point or another little kids dream of being an astronaut and exploring outer-space. The whole idea of going into space is almost unimaginable, but if you get a chance to visit Tuckaway Shores Resort and the Space Coast you will want to make a day trip to Kennedy Space Center to share the possibilities with your little ones. We recently got out there to do some sightseeing and it was really amazing. We also got to enjoy lunch with an astronaut and learned even more about the current space program.
Did you know that astronauts have gardens in space and that they eat fresh salads from the lettuce they pick? It was amazing all the things we learned about and we even got to experience what it’s like to go into space through the shuttle launch experience. The bus tour was equally impressive and we got to get a lot of great photos of the areas natural wildlife you find around Port Canaveral. However, I have to admit nothing beats the beautiful views we got to experience at Tuckaway Shores Resort during our stay. I think the only thing we missed out on was actually seeing the nesting sea turtles, but we did see quiet a few of their nests.
If you are lucky enough to get to the Space Coast be sure to consider Tuckaway Shores when booking your stay. Not only are they very reasonably priced but they are located in such a natural, old Florida feeling place, far from the high rise hotels and bright lights. The views from the rooms are breathtaking and the sunrises and sunsets are sure to take your breath away!
