I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Heinz Vinegar. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.

Five Everyday Uses for Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar

I go through a lot of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) normally, but this time of the year is when I should be buying it by the gallon.  I use it everyday or nearly everyday either for cooking, canning, cleaning, or outside for my chickens.  Yes, I use it for my chickens too!  I put it in their water in every day to keep back algae growth and as a natural de-wormer (not that I’ve seen worms, but it does help with them).  However, I use it to make my Blazin’ Hot Pepper Jelly (made with my habenaros from the garden) and my bread and butter pickles.  But if that weren’t enough I clean my floors, counters, and microwave with it nearly every day as well.

BandB Pickles

For canning and pickling I use the regular “Pepper Perfect” Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar because it is 5% acidity which is what I need for the my recipes.  It’s made from apples and water without any weird stuff so it’s my preferred brand for preserving.  I have never used the Unfiltered Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar for preserving but I do know a lot of people who drink it when they have heartburn.  They have a great recipe that is good either hot or cold.

Heinz Cider Tea

 Servings: 1

Prep Time: 0 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Heinz Unfiltered Cider Vinegar
  • 12 ounces Hot Water

Directions

  1.  Mix one to two teaspoons of Heinz Unfiltered Cider Vinegar with 8 – 12 ounces hot water. Sweeten with your favorite sweetener and add lemon if desired. Can also be enjoyed cold.

I used to work with a girl who swore by it for her heartburn!

Cleaning a microwave?  Easily accomplished with a coffee cup of water and 2 tablespoons of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar.  It loosens up the gunk and wipes clean with very little elbow grease needed.  If you haven’t tried it you should.  It never ceases to amaze me all the uses there are for ACV.  You can check out the new Pinterest page for more ideas.
