The east coast of Florida holds one of the greatest and most popular beaches you can visit, Daytona Beach. The perfect destination for your next family vacation, Daytona Beach offers a wide variety of activities, dining, gorgeous beach shores and many different kid friendly options. As the Festival Capital of Florida there are always lots of things to do.

The Beaches are covered in gorgeous white sand that sits densely on the shore allowing for visitors to drive their cars right along the water’s edge. The sand is lined with great options for your family’s stay including hotels, motels, condo rentals, bed and breakfast inns, vacation rentals and camping grounds. If want more activity to your day than just lounging on the beach, there are tons of options all close by. You can go deep-sea fishing where some of the best bass fishing in Florida is offered, rent equipment for endless water sports or visit one of Daytona’s historical sites. At night, chose from a number of Daytona’s fine dining and restaurants, bars or dance clubs.

Did you know Daytona is the festival capital of Florida? Fall festivals make this one of the best times of the year to visit Daytona Beach so that you can join in experiencing the fall festivals. Attend the Daytona Beach Blues Festival or find daily live music at Bruce Rossmeyer’s. If you love art, you can attend the Halifax art festival or Daytona Beach’s film festival. And there is always the Wings and Waves air show where over 40 different Air Force aircrafts give an astonishing aerial performance over the Atlantic Ocean.

Whether you are looking for a place to bring the whole family, or the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, Daytona Beach has lots of great options for your perfect vacation.

Take a trip for at least a day, and tell us about your Daytona Beach experience. Where did you go, what did you do and much fun did you have?

When planning your next trip to Florida why not head over to the east coast to one of the most popular beaches you can visit? Daytona Beach is world famous for its white sands and boasts a wide variety of activities and dining options. You can even drive your car along the water’s edge which is one of my favorite things about Daytona. There is just something amazing about driving on the beach!

Sprinkled along the water’s edge are a variety of lodging options including hotels, motels, condo rentals, bed and breakfast inns, vacation rentals, and some pretty sweet campgrounds!

The last time we visited Daytona Beach we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Place Oceanfront, went to ZoomAir Adventure Park, The Marine Science Center, Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse, and The Daytona Beach Museum of Arts & Sciences! I know that sounds like a lot of activities but believe it or not, we only scratched the surface. There is more to do around Daytona Beach than you will probably have time for.

There a lots of really good restaurants in Daytona as well. I can’t remember having a bad meal for the life of me. I wish I could remember the name of that restaurant by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse… The food, view, atmosphere, and service were outstanding and we must have stayed there for hours. Perhaps one of our readers could shed some light on this mystery???

As the winter weather begins to roll in and you start feeling like you want to escape the cold and warm your bones, head down to Daytona. It’s all sunshine, blue eyes, tan lines, and white sands baby! You won’t run out of Outdoor Fun here because the options are limitless. Click here to find out what Jake Owen thinks about Daytona!
