With eating healthy on everyone’s mind, my mom took it upon herself to review the protein bars by Quest. She was offered a huge variety of various bars including: Apple Pie, Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Roll, Coconut Cashew, Lemon Cream Pie, Mixed Berry Bliss, PB&J, Peanut Butter Supreme, Strawberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Almond Crunch. This is what she had to say:
I recently found something that I want to share with all the low carbohydrate dieters – the Quest bars. They are delicious and perfect for those of us who would like to have something special like Lemon Pie, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Chocolate Brownie or something that we are usually forbidden on a low carb diet. A few years ago I was diagnosed as diabetic and I made some serious changes to my diet that eliminated these yummy desserts up until now.
The bad news? I have a hard time finding them in my local supermarket, but fortunately I can order them online on the website. The good news is that they are a high protein bar with only 4 grams of non- fiber carbs at the most. They come in the most delicious flavors like Lemon Pie, Coconut Cashew, Vanilla Almond crunch just to name a few. They use no sugar or sugar alcohols and they are gluten free and high fiber. I always have one in my purse for those moments when everyone else is enjoying a high calorie dessert so I am not feeling deprived.
You can follow them on Facebook and be sure to visit their site to find a flavor you like or just try them all. I’m hoping to try their new Peanut Butter Cup candy soon!
