Christmas at Gaylord Palms

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by Gaylord Palms and my family and I were hosted for the event.

Christmas at Gaylord Palms Resort is truly magnificent. You and your family can enjoy the holidays on an epic scale with All-New Cirque Dreams Unwrapped, ICE! Featuring Christmas Around the World, Snow Tubing, fun and festive performances, and a plethora of additional holiday experiences. Partake in classic activities like getting photos with Santa and gawking at Christmas lights. Enjoy a holiday meal, decorate gingerbread, build a bear, pick out new Christmas ornaments, and make all your Christmas wishes come true. Whether you are visiting for the day or a week you’re sure to have the time of your life.

Gather around the resort’s six-story Christmas tree for Gaylord Palms New! JOYFUL Atrium Light Show. It’s a stunning spectacle that takes you on a holiday musical journey around the world with millions of choreographed Christmas lights. The show is free to attend and happens nightly through January 7th. It’s something I look forward to every year and gets better every single time. This year is no exception.

Cirque Dreams Unwrapped is a family-friendly show that brings the holidays to life in unique and imaginative new ways. Prepare to be dazzled by stunning acrobatic feats, creative costumes, and amazing performances. The show is bizarre, funny, and awe-inspiring all at the same time. Purchase a ticket and enjoy guaranteed seating. It will be one of the most entertaining 25 minutes of your life I promise.

ICE! Featuring Christmas Around the world is a really cool experience that features two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures and ice slides built two stories high. Grab a parka and bundle up because it’s a frigid 9 degrees in there. Inside you will find ice sculptures that represent holiday scenes from all over the world. After making your way through the first couple rooms and sliding down the slides a few times, head over to the north pole to see ice Santa and his elves along with a parade of amazing ice toys made in the workshop. They’ve got cars and animal sculptures that will blow your mind. The craftsmanship is unbelievable. Just remember to be nice to the ice by keeping your hands off. Don’t try licking it either. They’ll explain all that before you go in.

When you visit Alpine Village be sure to slip down one of the eight indoor snow tubing lanes. Its appropriate for all ages and covered in real snow. Then head over to the marketplace for refreshments, ornaments, stocking stuffers, and Christmass presents. Get a picture with Santa, listen to Mr.’s Claus, decorate gingerbread, and go all out. Whatever you do don’t miss out on all the fun.
