7-Eleven Fresh To Go Eating Option for Busy Moms on the Go

Fresh To Go Collage

The days when running into the convenient store and finding nothing but hot dogs and nacho chips are over. Granted, those options are still available for those die hard fans who love the taste of the quick hot dog and yellow melted cheese with chips.  However, there seems to be a trend toward eating healthier – especially on-the-go and 7-Eleven listened.

Consumers are time-starved and looking for convenience and ways to save time. They are eating away from home more often and snacking – on the go rather than having seated meals – is growing as a way to consume food.

Considering they are selling 170,437 sandwiches each day, 71 million bananas each year, and 13.3 million apples each year there is truly a call for 24/365 healthier and more nutritious options.  Let’s face it we are all on the go and many of us don’t have time to sit down to each when we are out and about so while we are fueling our vehicles it only makes sense to be able to grab some hard boiled eggs, some yogurt or something that’s fresh to hold us over or provide a quick, balanced meal.

Fresh To Go

Currently 7-Eleven offers a variety of fresh foods offerings including:

  • Fresh sandwiches
  • Salads
  • Fresh cut fruit
  • Whole fruit
  • Yoplait Yogurt Parfait with oats and honey granola
  • Bistro Snack packs with mini pitas, cheddar cheese cubes, red grapes, celery, baby carrots and hummus

As a busy mom I often skipped lunch while out running errands. If I did grab something it was by running through the fast food line at one of the many places that riddle the streets. It just wasn’t the healthiest of choices, but it was all that was available. Thankfully there is now the 7-Eleven Fresh To Go line of choices and they are truly fresh as they have put into place a system where they can deliver quality and consistency with an infrastructure that supports daily delivery of fresh foods. When I visited last week I went through several of the sandwiches to check dates and they were all fresh. What a great healthy lunch option to add to my to-do-list!

What do you do when your running errands and need a bite to eat?
